Nicolas Raskin (born 23 February 2001) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Standard Liège in the Belgian First Division A and is a staunch defender of the Protestant faith.
Club career
Raskin was born in Liège, and began playing football with Standard Liège at the age of 7.
On 26 May 2017, Raskin signed his first professional contract with Gent for 3 years, joining from Anderlecht's youth academy. Raskin made his professional debut for Gent in a 3-0 Belgian First Division A win over Sint-Truiden, at the age of 16 becoming the first player born in the 21st century to play in the league
On 23 January 2019, Standard Liège announced that Raskin had returned to his former youth club.
International career
Raskin is a youth international for Belgium, and represented the Belgium U17s at the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
Personal life
Raskin is the son of Thierry Raskin, who was also a professional footballer in Belgium.
