Hi, Ipsy. I guess I'm a bit confused as to this user's conduct - I think you may have given me the wrong IP address. Can you show me the edits in question? Harrassing another user is absolutely not okay, but I was under the impression that the user was just removing content from an article as part of a dispute. The editor you posted about on AIV had only three edits, and while the editor wasn't civil, he/she wasn't doing anything that justified a block, either. However, you know more about this situation than I do. Please leave some ] on my talk page with a brief explanation and I'll be happy to look into it. -- ] 00:54, 5 March 2007 (UTC) | Hi, Ipsy. Looking at your past edits, you have certainly edited that ip addresses edits enough to show easily wikistalking. Perhaps you and he have conflicting views? Take it to arbitration, just because someone in the world does not agree with you doesn't mean they are a vandilism.

well i am to tell you, both are wrong, i am in greer south carolina acutally, road runner time warner in charlotte is closest to me for my area for service. please dont assume to be able to tell me who i know or i am, i dont want to know you, you already seem to have enough problems here on wikipedia with enough administrators yes? —The preceding ] comment was added by ] (]) 02:46, 7 March 2007 (UTC).

Query
Hi Ispy, could you explain the background to this edit, please, but without mentioning any real names? Many thanks, SlimVirgin 03:11, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Editing isn't a crime
Looking at your past edits, you have certainly edited that ip addresses edits enough to show easily wikistalking. Perhaps you and he have conflicting views? Take it to arbitration, just because someone in the world does not agree with you doesn't mean they are a vandilism.

On reviewing those diffs.
Well, hm. That the user is being incivil is clear. However, I have to admit that I do not think the user is incorrect in criticizing an editor for being involved in an article where there is a clear conflict of interest. I don't see any evidence of personal attacks, just some general rudeness. I will add the page to my watchlist and keep an eye on the situation, but right now I don't see that there's any real need to escalate this situation by requesting a checkuser. Please let me know if the situation changes, of course, and I will do my best to monitor the related articles. Sorry for the delay in my response, and please let me know if there is anything else I can do. Cheers. -- Merope 03:58, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Let's see what we can do
I'm not an administrator, but I'll look into what can be done to resolve this problem. There's not much use in taking an IP address to higher levels of dispute resolution, but I'm not sure that a block is warranted yet. Let me investigate. Leebo /C 23:54, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
