Salvatore Rinauro (born September 12 1982), usually shortened to Sal Rinauro, is an American professional wrestler for Ring of Honor and Full Impact Pro. He was a member of The Embassy.

Career

Sal Rinauro started his ROH career under the name Mellow as a member of Special K. At Do or Die 5, Rinauro (now using his real name) competed for and won a Ring of Honor Contract by defeating Steve Madison, Claudio Castagnoli, and Jerelle Clark. He is a former ROH Tag Team Champion with Tony Mamaluke. They won the title at the classic show Joe vs. Kobashi on October 1, 2005 by defeating BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs. During their reign, they successfully defended against teams such as Dunn and Marcos, Homicide and Ricky Reyes, Whitmer and Jacobs, and Colt Cabana and Milano Collection AT. They lost the title to Austin Aries and Roderick Strong of Generation Next at Final Battle 2005 on December 17, 2005. Since losing the title, Rinauro has competed in Six Man Mayhem, the Tag Wars 2006 tournament, and tag team matches against the likes of the Briscoe Brothers. On December 16, 2005, Sal participated in the four-man "Stairway To Heaven" match at Ring of Glory's The Great Commission.

Rinauro also appeared at TNA Slammiversary 2005, as a fan who was attacked by Jeff Jarrett before the King of the Mountain match, causing Jarrett to be "arrested".

In 2006, Rinauro's partner Tony Mamaluke signed with WWE to be part of the new ECW. This left Rinauro alone in ROH, and many wondered what he would do. At Death Before Dishonor IV, it was revealed that Sal Rinauro was the newest member of The Embassy. That night, he teamed with Jimmy Rave and they successfully defeated Colt Cabana and Jay Lethal.

The two continued teaming for a few months but after the Embessy disbanded the team suffered a roadblock. Recently as of October 28, 2006 Rave split the team up.
