The game was originally shown at E3 2004 in the form of a short trailer, and a new trailer was later shown at the 2005 Game Developers Conference. The graphical style for the game is more realistic than the last game, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and also the game takes on a much darker tone.
