Revision as of 19:23, 25 March 2023
This non-free media file should be replaced with a smaller version to comply with Misplaced Pages's non-free content policy and United States copyright law. According to Misplaced Pages's policy for non-free content, the amount of copyrighted work used under fair use should be as little as possible. In particular, non-free media on Misplaced Pages should not be usable as substitutes for the original work. A high-resolution non-free image is questionable fair use and may be deleted per Misplaced Pages's copyright policy.
In most cases, this reduction will occur automatically: simply wait a while and a bot will resize the image file according to the guideline at WP:IMAGERES. When an automatic reduction does not occur or a manual reduction is desired, the size of an image may be reduced in an image editing program or by saving and re-uploading a suitably sized thumbnail. Once a reduced version of this file has been uploaded: Please replace this template with {{subst:orphaned non-free revisions}} (through source edit) or {{orphaned non-free revisions|date=5 January 2025}} (through VisualEditor or Twinkle).Fair usetrue |

Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) | Georgia Mae Harp |
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | for visual identification of the person in question, at the top of their biographical article |
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
Georgia Mae's dead, been dead these nine years now |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | Just used in the one article for visual identification and so forth |
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |
Welllll.... I'm not sure who even *is* the owner. Not Georgia Mae's estate, I wouldn't guess. Probably not the estate of the photographer, as it was work done for hire I assume. Possibly a radio station, which one I can't tell -- WBZ, maybe -- or some other entity... her agent, who knows.
So, but assuming that you could find the copyright holder (if there even is one, it may well have been distributed without a copyright notice), well, yeah, I guess. I suppose you could make "retro" postcards and sell them or whatnot, make a few bucks. I'm not seeing this as very likely tho tbh. |
Other information | The subject of the photograph has been deceased since: 2014 |
