While I can't fault the nomination ], IMHO it would be best practice to list the current contents in the main article before deletion. I have done so for that set; this was made easy by your linking to the school articles in the nomination. – ] ] 20:58, 14 July 2023 (UTC) | While I can't fault the nomination ], IMHO it would be best practice to list the current contents in the main article before deletion. * Yes, that seems reasonable. I'm not sure that I've seen such an example of best practice. It does seem to me that one should include the school article in the nom. Odd that no one found any additional members in 2 weeks or so. Even my own primary school in Leeds has 2 members: ] and ] (but no article: ]). ] (]) 22:22, 14 July 2023 (UTC) | * Yes, that seems reasonable. Irish emigrants (before 1923)
While I did create the parent category here, Irish emigrants (before 1923) to the United States was created by User:Mayumashu. It was also created back in 2008. The history here is a little complex. Some of it relates to Ireland being split in 1923 or so.John Pack Lambert (talk) 12:35, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
Kingdom of Ireland people
We do however have an article Kingdom of Ireland John Pack Lambert (talk) 15:03, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- We do. However as you yourself have helpfully added the MP subcats to the 1801-1922 category we might as well align names (with names of subcats that were chosen at cfd). Oculi (talk) 15:10, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
Category deletion or expansion
Hello, Oculi,
Since you seem so adept with categories and CFD, I was wondering if you could give the category tree for Category:2nd millennium assassinated politicians by continent a look. An editor created a great many categories for "Pan-American" assasinated politicians, most of which have been deleted as empty categories or brought to CFD already but it left this remnant on this subject still around. It seems to me that it either needs to be expanded to be more representational, internationally, or deleted. What do you think? Liz 20:29, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- Well the first 2 contain one article 3 or 4 levels deep and the last one is empty and will disappear. The 3rd one (Europe) has a large French subcat which I expect is otherwise perfectly well categorised. It should be 'in Europe' anyway per Category:Politicians in Europe which was recently given this name at cfd. Is the editor still populating these categories? Oculi (talk) 23:38, 24 June 2023 (UTC)

Listifying small categories

Odd that no one found any additional members in 2 weeks or so. Even my own primary school in Leeds has 2 members: Ed Miliband and Marc Almond (but no article: Featherbank School).
