Basil William Iwanyk (born January 4, 1970) is an American film producer. He is the founder of Thunder Road Films and most known for Sicario, The Town, Greenland and the John Wick franchise. His films have earned more than $2 billion internationally as of 2018. He is of Ukrainian descent.

After starting out working for Warner Bros in the 1990s, Basil founded his own company, Thunder Road, in 2000. The company has a stellar reputation within the industry and a remarkable track record of critical and commercial success.

Biography

Iwanyk grew up in New Jersey. Iwanyk worked his way through the ranks of Warner Bros in the 1990s before starting his own production company, where he has built hits out of original ideas like “Sicario” and “Wind River,” both of which helped launch the career of “Yellowstone” superstar showrunner Taylor Sheridan. Other work includes the “John Wick franchise.
