Notability requirements
I would recommend that you look at the welcome message and click the highlighted wikilink to How to write a great article. Not every article written for Misplaced Pages is notable. Please see Misplaced Pages:Notability and then perhaps a subheader for buildings.
Since you are from Illinois, I recommend you see how an article about a famous building is written. Please see the Sears Tower. One recommendation I would further make is you look at its talkpage (Talk:Sears Tower). It is supported by the Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Chicago. Most projects have a backload of articles that either need attention or creation.
In fact, I am also familar with the Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Illinois as a member from that project has requested my aid on several articles. One article I helped that project was with the Chana School.
Looking at your userpage, I noticed you are asking for some user to adopt you. I recommend signing up at the project of your choice by reading the main project page; signing up where indicated and then introducing yourself on the project talkpage. I am sure the Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Illinois would love to have a new member who wants to develop articles.

- Well, adoption on Misplaced Pages is when experienced users who have been on Misplaced Pages for a while help new users and inexperienced users along their way when edting Misplaced Pages and help them learn the general information on Misplaced Pages and hopefully in the end, they user who was adopted is an experienced wikipedian and is able to cope editing on there own without any help.
