Would you consider the latest edit under WP Voice. I'm trying to state an important fact without it sounding too critical, as a fact that just happens to be negative. @SarekOfVulcan: Found a better source and added the specific annual reports for coverage. In the original article I posted you had to piece the divestments together; it's the same in the new one but it's more specific, should be clearer. The annual GE reports list the asset shrink/subsidiaries during that period 2007-2017 Knightoften (talk) 20:56, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

Question (I don't know how to react and if this is against wp:policy)

Hello @SarekOfVulcan, I don't want to make it too long, but I have been personnally attacked multiple times on the same controversial article Juan Branco by an SPA (100%), and also an almost SPA (editing mostly this article or schools of the subject like Sciences Po) who both arrived after 2-6 months of inactivity in the sole purpose (it seems) to rollback my contributions (which consisted mainly of wp:translated content from the French B-class rated article). Also, I noticed that two contributors on the same page have an account name beginning and ending with the same letter (D......d) and both containing 8 characters. All that makes a bit much for me and, as I feel like I lost hours of work for nothing, and as I am still quite new here, I am wondering what I can do in this situation ? Besides the "resort" in the very first line of the entry (which I wrote to you about separately), I'm baffled by why you would revert to the older census data when I provided the 2022 census number with the proper footnote. Can you explain what's motivating these reversions?

There is no such thing as the 2022 Census. Misplaced Pages standard practice is to use the actual census numbers as far as possible. SarekOfVulcan (talk) 22:23, 28 July 2023 (UTC)

When does a town have to accept the label of "resort town"?

I'm trying to remove "resort" from the opening line describing the town of Bar Harbor, Maine. I think this label does a disservice to the town in multiple ways. Both economically & culturally, Bar Harbor is defined more by its significant research institutions (one of which employs 1,400 locals), its college, fishing community, hospital and schools, than it is by tourism. But, it's also, like many desirable destinations, struggling with a severe housing crisis and overwhelming seasonable tourism. These threaten its year-round community, who can no longer find housing or afford to live here. What I'm trying to say is Bar Harbor is and is struggling to remain More Than a Resort/Tourist Town. Misplaced Pages choosing to label it a "resort town" when many equally inundated, over-"loved" towns/cities are not so designated seems arbitrary & unfortunate. My apologies - I looked at the spelling in Jayron's suggestion, and didn't refer back to make sure it was correct. As far as the length of time goes, since it wasn't discussed one way or the other in the survey that I noticed, I felt it was better to have a defined length of time, and that 1 year was the best duration to attempt. If it doesn't work, I would expect that more stringent sanctions would be placed quickly. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 17:42, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

• A discussion at WP:VPP about revision deletion and oversight for dead names found that ysops can choose to use revdel if, in their view, it's the right tool for this situation, and they need not default to oversight. But oversight could well be right where there's a particularly high risk to the person. Use your judgment.
