Joe Broughton is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and educator based in Birmingham, UK. He has been a member of The Albion Band, The Urban Folk Quartet (UFQ), Dempsey/Broughton and Joe Broughton's Conservatoire Folk Ensemble. Joe is Lecturer in Folk Music and Director of Folk Ensemble at Birmingham City University. In the 2023 new years honors, Joe was awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for ‘services to music’.
