Not sure why the page was deleted. I was following advice from Misplaced Pages help article Misplaced Pages:User page design guide/About you

Deletion of Draft Gael Rakotondrabe English translation user:ALTWIKI23

Hey, on the 11th of October you deleted my translation draft French to English for Gael Rakotondrabe's wiki page. I do not understand why since I translated almost word per word the existing French text, and included all the references. I thought this draft should be uploaded as a translation for Gael Rakotondrabe's existing French page, since he worked mostly within English-speaking environments. How can this draft be uploaded, and what should I change for it to be accepted as a translation?

ALTWIKI23, not sure what you are asking me. Draft:Gael Rakotondrabe exists, I just moved it from the incorrect article title User:ALTWIKI23/Gael Rakotondrabe, which I then deleted as pointless. Look at your contributions tab Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:52, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

alright thanks, I am still confused with the workflow of wikipedia. Do you know a way to publish it as a translation to the French wiki page of Gael Rakotondrabee? As a none-experienced editor I do not have the possibility to do so.

ALTWIKI23 When you are ready, clip the blue corner of the AFC box. Before you do that, you need to make sure all text is cited (discography doean't need refs) and clean up the refs, some of which are a mess. You also need to add {{Translated page|fr|Gael Rakotondrabe}} to the talk page and save Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:47, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

Deletion entry Gebhard Schertler

Dear @Jimfbleak:, I noticed you deleted my entry of the austrian scientist Gebhard Schertler. I disclosed that the entry was paid and on his behalf. The deletion note says "supposed sources entirely his own papers, other "facts" mostly unreferenced to RS." Do I get this right that such an entry needs more independent sources apart from himself and his employing research institute? However, how should I quote scientific papers that he has now written himself as the entry is about his work? Thanks J. Berndorff (talk) 10:38, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

Conflict of interest

Patrickwatsondev, new to Misplaced Pages here. Hi there, where was I too promotional? I received a COI flag? Is this about my recent edits to cornus obliqua or my submitted article for the cloud provider I use? I also want to clarify I have never been paid to write anything for Misplaced Pages and haven't worked with AerisWeather's products in long enough/have a net-negative enough relationship with those folks' customer service that I definitely would consider that the opposite of a conflict of interest - I've remained wholly committed to the truth. 13:06, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

Deletion entry Lou-Marié Kruger

Hi, you deleted my entry on the psychologist and author Lou-Marié Kruger. While I do cite her own work I do also cite independent articles on her and her book. Could you please reverse the deletion and allow me to edit accordingly. I think a deletion in this regard is slightly hasty, please allow for revision. (your note: "G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion: self written vanity page, see WP:COI, WP:RS, WP:Notability (people), supposed independent sources are mainly her own papers.")

Pedro Albizu Campos The Formative Years 1893-1923

Hi @JimfbleakJimfbleak, thanks for the note to pin @Bbb23 but the draft article was deleted. In sum, the article is about the Pedro Albizu Campos Digital Resource Collection which is a primary source of archival documents, records, and letters now only becoming publicly available and accessible to the public for educational and research purposes. I am the cataloger and librarian for the digital collection as I curate archival material for it. I don't promote myself as a librarian, I don't make money from it, it does not produce any income, promotion, or anything for me. As I mentioned to @Bbb23, perhaps the confusion is the name chosen. A better name would be "Pedro Albizu Digital Resource Collection," and this name would mirror the digital library resource.
