Histoire de France is Jules Michelet's multivolume history of France. It is considered his masterpiece and major work in French literature. The first six volumes were written 1833–43 and stop at the end of the Middle Ages, and the eleven volumes from the Renaissance to the verge of the revolution were written 1855–67.
