Race for Life is a series of UK-wide women-orientated fundraising events organised by the British charity Cancer Research UK and supported by Tesco. The events involve running, jogging or walking a 5-kilometre course and participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship from friends and family for doing so. The money raised is donated to the charity and funds cancer research and campaigns.
