Jonathan "Jock" James (born January 4, 1978 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England) is the youth pastor of the Abundant Life Church in Bradford. He is also the head of its youth band, RPM, in which he leads vocals and plays acoustic guitar. He also writes songs for the youth band RPM and the wider church worship team.

History

Jonathan 'Jock' James converted to Christianity at the age of 16. He later moved to Bradford to go to university to study environmental sciences; here, he began to attend the Abundant Life Church. After graduation, he worked in the water industry in environmental law before joining the church young peoples ministry to work alongside Steve Gambill (Youthpastor & founder of Rocknations) in 2002. He has since been involved in leading the Edge ministry for 14 to 18 year olds and heading up the music department (RPM) at Rocknations, the church's youth ministry.
