The Quiet Internet Pager (QIP) is an alternative instant messaging client based on the OSCAR protocol. It's a closed source freeware developed by a Russian developer Ilgam Zyulkorneev. Its most distinct feature is the tabbed message window -- instead of multiple message windows open when chating with more people, only one window with several tabs is used. The QIP is also commonly acknowledged as being a lightweight, fast and skinable client with user-friendly features.
