Just a question, and please, don't take this the wrong way, but are you planning to go back and expand on the NES stubs you've been putting up recently? Water hardness

Hi there. About the Water hardness article: I thought I had done enough looking around for a water hardness article, but who would have thought to look in the most obvious place (Hard water, Duh!). I'll work on merging the articles. Which title do you think is better: Hard water or Water hardness? --DanielCD 16:00, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)

  • I'd suggest keeping the name hard water, firstly because that's how most people know it as (IMHO), and secondly because it seems to describe the broader topic, while water hardness sounds like a measure of hard water itself. --InShaneee 16:07, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Votes for deletion/John Driscoll

Please remove your post of IP addresses from this article http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/John_Driscoll as they are inappropriate. Jsecure

  • Actually, everyone's supposed to sign their comments. Since those comments were made by an anon user, that was all I had to fill in. If you ARE that anon user, you should look into changing over the attributions. --InShaneee 15:28, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
  • I've noticed you found my livejournal, and have been threatening legal action on it. If you'd simply look up wikipedia's policies, you'd see that IPs must be used in place of usernames for unregistered users. It is also NOT an invasion of privacy, since wikipedia logs IPs of unregistered users. If that's not your cup of tea, you shouldn't be here. --InShaneee 16:53, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
  • As far as I know we're in our right to put in the IPs of unregistered users for archiving purposes. It's completely useless to try and remove them anyway, as each edit remains in the history anyway, and you can't remove the edits you made earlier because of the GFDL. Mgm| 08:51, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)

Prison education

Hello! I hope that you'll find my replacement of the (obviously unacceptable) content of the article enough of an improvement ro consider changing your vote. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 17:12, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • While I usually don't approve of drastic rewrites to a page under voting, you obviously caught this one early on in the game, and now, thanks to you, we've got a right nice article. Kudos, and good job to you, sir! --InShaneee 02:23, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Thanks — I'd never done it before, and I'm not quite sure what prompted me to do it this time. Still, all's well that ends well. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 11:16, 16 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Since you obviously don't have a problem with the subject as such but rather had a problem with the previous content it would have been better to list it on cleanup rather than on vfd. —Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 06:25, 2005 Mar 16 (UTC)

  • Well, I honestly didn't think at the time that an acceptable article could be made out of it, since the current topic was just original research and the title seemed to lend it self just to POV ranting. Mel just plesantly surprised me in that respect. Thanks for the advice anyway, though. --InShaneee 15:33, 16 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Uploaded Image

Sorry I'm slow in replying . The photo of myself is the main one on my userpage. i wouldn't mind having a contact me tag >> next up from fair use??. I couldn't find the tag on wikipedia specialpages .. Maybe you can apply it for me on the original. Is your project out to tag specific photos? Cheers - max rspct 01:01, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • Hm....perhaps this tag or this one? I'm actually fairly new at this, so I'm not sure which one would be best. No, I'm not targeting anything specific as such, just the ones I know what to do with. --InShaneee 02:44, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Nikolai Yezhov

Be careful. Other sites mirror our content, so when you come across that, it's not a copyvio. Everyking 22:59, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • Sorry. However, on Nikolai Yezhov, the site I reffered to had no info about attrobution. Should that be listed somewhere for further action? --InShaneee 23:02, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
    • They are supposed to attribute it, yes, but I think a lot of them don't and nothing is really done about it. Everyking 23:07, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Toasty image

You mentioned that a Toasty image is currently an orphan, but it is not; it's actually linked from the Toasty article. It always has been. Thanks for the message, though! David Silva 05:12, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)

... I take it back. I just fixed it. God, I'm such an idiot. Thanks for pointing it out. David Silva 05:19, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I'm glad you like it! It just seemed appropriate because I kept posting the same, "Gee, Mr. Newcomer, we really can't use that here" messages. You know, assume good faith and all. – ClockworkSoul 18:55, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
