Histoire de France is Jules Michelet's multivolume history of France. It is his major work and has been described as "a masterpiece of French literature". The first six volumes were written 1833–43 and stop at the end of the Middle Ages, and the eleven volumes from the Renaissance to the verge of the revolution were written 1855–67.
