The Legend of Zelda is the tentative title for the next video game in Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series. As of April 2005 no official title has been announced. The game was originally shown at E³ 2004 in the form of a short trailer, and a new trailer was later shown at the 2005 Game Developers Conference. The graphical style for the game, while still fantasy-oriented, is of a more realistic tone than the previous game, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It is also believed that the game takes on a much darker tone than its predecessor, judging from the trailers. Nintendo is unclear on where the game might chronologically fall into, or whether Ganondorf or the Master Sword would be featured in the game.
No release date has been announced, but it is expected launch during the holiday season of 2005.
