==Attempt to delete category of Jewish athletes== | |||
Well, they are trying to delete a category of Jewish athletes again. This time, figure skaters. See http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_April_14#Category:Jewish_figure_skaters . I pointed out to the originator of the attempt that we had addressed this general issue already with Jewish fencers, where the attempt failed (due in part to your help). Still, they insist on trying to delete this category. Any help by your weighing in on the issue would be appreciated. Thanks again. --] 00:21, 16 April 2007 (UTC)--] 20:12, 15 April 2007 (UTC) |

List of United Kingdom locations: Hi-Hz
Hi Holdenhurst. Yes it is a long list, and also part of a large series of long lists. Two of the articles were recently split and the rest are currently being considered. I would probably be best to coordinate discussion of what to do with these lists at List of United Kingdom locations. Please share your thoughts there. -- zzuuzz 12:39, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Spam Links
Hi Holdenhurst,
What did you mean when you wrote this? I've removed it from the place you asked because it did not seem appropriate there, but if you want to ask me here or on my talk page, feel free to do so. Happy editing! :) --Firsfron of Ronchester 20:01, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- I mean that when I tried to save my vote, it said I couldn't save the page beccause it had a spam link. I deleted the link, but it seemed to me important (analysis of the candidate's edits). I'm terribly confused; you'll see that I've only just started this account and I really don't know my way round here yet.--Holdenhurst 20:04, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Holdenhurst,
- Don't worry, after a while you'll get the hang of things. Spam links aren't allowed; you can read Misplaced Pages:Spam if it will help your understanding of that policy.--Firsfron of Ronchester 20:12, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

RfA thanks
Hey Holden, thank you for supporting my recent RfA. It finished with an amazing final tally of 160/4/1. I really appreciate your comments and support. Cheers, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 10:51, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Category:Acquaintances of Lewis Carroll
I see you have recently added Category:Acquaintances of Lewis Carroll. I'm going to nominate this for deletion, on the basis that we could create categories for the acquaintances of any notable and well connected person, but don't. I think a list of acquaintances in the Lewis Carroll article itself is more appropriate, ideally with some detail on each relationship if possible. - Crosbiesmith 20:33, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

My RfA
Hi Holdenhurst. I wanted to thank you with flowers (well, flower) taking the time to participate in my RfA, which was successful. I regret that I was unable to earn your support at this time, but I respect that you gave due consideration to your comments. You can be assured I have taken your concerns seriously and will bear them in mind in future. Though I can't promise I'll change my moral perspective, I can assure you I'll continue to provide full reasoning for any decisions I make here at WP, with the sole aim of bettering the project. Please do let me know if I can be of assistance and especially if you spot me making an error in future. Many thanks once again. Yours, Rockpocket 08:21, 10 November 2006 (UTC) |

Holdenhurst, thank you for your support in my RfA which passed on 13th December 2006 with a tally of 49/10/5. I am delighted by the result and a little daunted by the scope of the additional tools; I shall be cautious in my use of them. I am well aware that becoming an Admin is not just about a successful nomination, but a continuing process of gaining further experience; for this I shall welcome your feedback. Again, many thanks for supporting my RfA, feel free to contact me if you need any assistance. :-) David Ruben 01:27, 17 December 2006 (UTC) |
My RFA
Hey, thanks for participating in my recent RFA. You were amongst a number of editors who remained neutral on the topic. The RFA did not succeed (69/26/11). I am extremely grateful that you took the time to advise me on to improve as a Wikipedian and I'd like to assure you that I'll do my level best to develop my skills here to a point where you may feel you could trust me with the mop.
I've been blown away by the level of interest taken in my RFA and appreciate the time and energy dedicated by all the editors who have contributed to it, support, oppose and neutral alike. I hope to bump into you again soon and look forward to serving you and Misplaced Pages in any way I can. Cheers! Deleting Categories of Jewish Athletes
Hi. I believe this is related to an issue that has interested you in the past. At http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion#Category:Jewish_fencers some people are suggesting that Jewish athletes, beginning with Jewish Fencers, should be deleted. I do not think that is the correct approach, or consistent with wiki policy, and thought that others might want to weigh in on the discussion. Tx. --Epeefleche 13:44, 8 February 2007 (UTC)--Epeefleche 13:44, 8 February 2007 (UTC)--Epeefleche 13:44, 8 February 2007 (UTC)--Epeefleche 23:49, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
It's been a week and a bit since my recent request for adminship passed, and since I haven't managed to delete the Main Page - yet - I figure it's safe to send these out. Thanks a lot for participating in my RfA; I hope to do a good job. If you see me doing something wrong, need help, or just want to have a chat, please don't hesitate to drop by :) – riana_dzasta 13:06, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Your edits to Garment fetishism
Should I take your edit to Garment fetishism as trying to make a point which is a celar violation of policy or as a concern that the material you have tagged needs inline citations? I would prefer to believe the latter but you reversions on Uniform fetish and Schoolgirl uniform fetish leading to the reinclusion of 100% unattributed material leads me to fear the former. I hope you can clear this up for me. NeoFreak 18:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
