==Attempt to delete category of Jewish athletes==
Well, they are trying to delete a category of Jewish athletes again. This time, figure skaters. See http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_April_14#Category:Jewish_figure_skaters . I pointed out to the originator of the attempt that we had addressed this general issue already with Jewish fencers, where the attempt failed (due in part to your help). Still, they insist on trying to delete this category. Any help by your weighing in on the issue would be appreciated. Thanks again. --] 00:25, 16 April 2007 (UTC)--] 20:12, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

It's my pleasure, I was given the same table as a welcome when I first joined and I still use the links when I need to look up information. I hope that you will find it as useful.

No doubt you will see me around since I'm here most week days.

A tag has been placed on Richard Ettinghausen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ZhongHan (Email) 13:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. Of course it's OK - and I'm delighted to welcome a collaborator.--Newport 23:35, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Barry Supple

Thanks so much for letting me know about this mistake! I just reviewed the article, and I see exactly where I got the wrong first name. I'll be very careful about that in the future! Thanks again for letting me know. CRKingston 15:53, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Hurtful?

How is it hurtul? I was just being playful. You've got to be kidding. Saying you username is "hard to memorize" is not being civil? This is a joke, right? Usedup 23:23, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

ST47 RfA

Hey man,

You do realize this candidate erased opposed votes from his RfA, right? It seems odd that anybody would support after something like that.

Anyway, just making sure you know about that. – Lantoka (talk) 20:18, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't comments like that be made on his RfA?--R613vlu 12:56, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I figured user talk would be better. It's already mentioned in the RfA, and some people don't re-check RfA's after they !vote. I guess it doesn't really matter now though... the RfA closed unsuccessfully several days ago. Thanks for the response. – Lantoka (talk) 16:58, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

MedCab Case

And I did mention in the comments I left on the talk page that I felt said information was protected by Misplaced Pages policy and should be included. I closed the case because the dispute has been inactive for some time. If you feel you still need mediation, feel free to open a new case. I'd be happy to help! --Moralis (talk) 17:17, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

With the exception of that one edit, there had been no discussion of the dispute at Talk:Eugene Ionescu since the previous mediator's announcing himself on 10 March, and since 28 February prior to that. There had been no active discussion on the case page, at the time of my closing the case, since around 14 March (I don't really consider one edit active discussion, as all other parties appeared to have lost interest). So you can see why the case appeared to me to be over. If you still require a mediator, I will be happy to take the case, as you would seem to have revived the dispute. --Moralis (talk) 12:56, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

I have since turned over the mediation to Editor Assistance. However, the mediation was in fact dormant- it had been over a month since there was any active discussion on the case page or on the talk page. Furthermore, the only view I expressed was the opinion that Misplaced Pages policy supports your position, which is an acceptable comment for a mediator to make according to WP:MedCab. While I don't understand your reasoning in reopening the discussion, I realize that it's now active again and I hope you find an acceptable mediator soon. --Moralis (talk) 21:08, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
