On September 7, 2024, several people were shot in cars in Kentucky's Interstate 75 according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s office, the interstate was closed at mile marker/Exit 49, and U.S. 25 due to an active shooter situation nine miles north of London, Kentucky.
Shooting
At around 6 p.m. a lone gunman shot at civilians in passing by cars from a wooded area or an overpass on the Interstate 75 highway in Kentucky, United States, injuring five people.
Perpetrator
The perpetrator was identified as 32-year-old Joseph A. Couch. Joseph weighs 154 lbs, has a height of 5'10", and has blonde hair. Joseph was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky and moved to Corbin, Kentucky. He went to Whitley County High School in 2010, studied at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in 2011 and worked at the United States Army. Joseph was previously arrested with a $1000 bond for making terroristic threats.
