Niklas Georg Lidströmer, born on 3 juni 1974 on Lidingö, is a Swedish physician and researcher.
Dr Niklas Lidströmer is a senior researcher at Karolinska Institutet. Lidströmer received Master of Science (MSc) in 2000and Medical Doctor (MD) 2002 at Uppsala Universitet. He obtained medical license in 2005 became a specialist physician in 2011.
Lidströmer researches within artificiell intelligence(AI) in medicine and is a senior advisor within AI and medical applications. Lidströmer has launched the concept Global Patient co-Owned Cloud (GPOC) in several publications, among others in Nature Communications.
Dr Niklas Lidströmer is editor-in-chief for the reference work, the new standard reference, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Springer Nature (130 chapters, 1,858 pages), which has become the largest within the scientific community in the world. He authored several chapters. The foreword has written by Professor Eric Topol.
Lidströmer is also editor for Artificial Intelligence in COVID-19, Springer Nature, together with Professor Yonina C. Eldar, Weizmann Institute of Science och MIT, with a foreword by Professor James J. Collins, MIT och Harvard, published in autumn 2022.
He is the principal for the Swedish noble family Lidströmer as the VIIth generation great grandson of the innovator Jonas Lidströmer.
