Rodez - Onet-le-Château airfield or Aérodrome communal de Rodez - Onet-le-Château. It is an Aerodrome built by the Directorate of Air Engineers indicated that the airport, located west of the town of Onet-le-Château on June 1939.

History

In 1936, the airfield was built by the Directorate of Air Engineers in the city of Rodez. By an order on 6 February 1947, Rodez - Onet-le-Château was listed among the public aerodromes.

In 1964 the airfield had build two tracks of runway. By the early 1960s, the airfield became too close to the edge of Rodez City, hindering expansion of the airfield. Therefore the decision was made in 1965 to build a new airfield further from town.

Although the airfield was closed, the runway markers are still visible, later tennis courts have appeared on runway 10/28.

Currently, the airfield is used as a sports complex with 4 tennis courts on site.
