Hi Explicit, I noticed you removed the WP:BLPPROD tag from this autobiography which has been unsourced for 17 years because "authority control links count" - but I'm not sure any of them meet the criteria of "reliable sources that support at least one statement made about the person in the biography". @AusLondonder and Rc ramz: WP:BLPPROD policy states, "the entry must be a biography of a living person and contain no sources in any form (as references, external links, etc., reliable or otherwise)" (emphasis mine). This is double downed upon at WP:BLPPROD#Deleting and undeleting: "the {{prod blp/dated}} tag has been in place for at least seven days, and there were no supporting sources (regardless of reliability or form) when tagged" (emphasis mine). As long as the content is verifiable from a source or external link, it is not eligible for BLPPROD. ✗plicit 00:37, 5 October 2024 (UTC)

Yes I certainly do plan to use it. I had no idea what you meant by "REFUND doesn't apply" until I looked up "soft deletion" - I don't think that can be taken as meaning that is the only case where REFUND can be used. It's content which is not a copyvio, libel, BLP vio or breaking policy. It is I believe substantially or entirely written by me, and therefore my intellectual property (albeit licensed under CC-BY-SA). It would be egregious not to REFUND.

It might be worth putting some effort into a guideline for REFUND I suppose, as there are plenty of other cases where REFUND should be non-contentious, but it's not something I have time for at the moment.

Request to Reconsider the Deletion of the Jordan Halliday Misplaced Pages Article

I’m reaching out regarding the deletion of the Misplaced Pages article on Jordan Halliday in May 2022 due to concerns about notability and sourcing. After further research and updates, I believe that Jordan Halliday’s notability extends well beyond the original scope of the article, and I’d like to request a reconsideration for reinstatement.

Halliday is not only a notable figure due to his grand jury resistance but also for his extensive activism within the animal rights, anarchist, and prisoner support movements. Over the years, he has played a significant role in founding various organizations like the Animal Defense League of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Animal Rights Project, and has recently become a full-time collective member at Food Empowerment Project in 2024.

I have compiled additional reliable sources and notable references that were not part of the original article, including his involvement in founding the Salt Lake City VegFest, his co-hosting of the Which Side Podcast, and his lectures and publications on critical animal studies, resistance, social justice, and activism.

I believe these updates will align the article with Misplaced Pages’s general notability guidelines (GNG) and include more well-rounded citations. I am happy to share this information in a draft or provide any specific sources you’d like to review.

I was wondering if you would consider moving the the page Simon Messingham to draft, or letting me see the contents. Several of his books (eg1, eg2) have wikipedia pages, and it seems the page was deleted because no one commented in support of keeping it.

Understanding Page deletion

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this note. I didn’t see a direct message option, so please direct me for a better place to send this if not here. Basically, I was informed that a Misplaced Pages page had been created about me, almost 20 years ago at the height of my commercial photography career. I noticed many additions over the years, but over time, some old information that was no longer correct wasn’t being updated. I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t fully understand how Misplaced Pages worked, but I recently tried to correct some of the outdated info, and add recent info/sited articles etc. Is it possible to correct/restore the page and make the needed changes that I may have caused in ignorance? There were links to my work being featured on Apple’s website, work showcased by Adobe in their pop-up gallery’s in NYC, and the one I tried to add myself was my photography being featured in Redbull’s permanent illume collection in Austria. Aside from all that, this was kind of a bummer for me to find out about, and the page meant a lot to me personally, and I had linked to it many times over the years as a reference/background for myself when working with companies. If nothing else, I would at least appreciate the page content. As I mentioned, it contained links to notable company’s who featured my work over the years, and artwork/photography of mine that Apple used, that I don’t even have access to anymore.
