MOS:NUM edits

Hi @GiantSnowman, per this edit, I am wondering why full dates are preferred over YYYY-MM-DD dates? MOS:NUM seems to say YYYY-MM-DD is "For use in tables, infoboxes, references, etc. Only certain citation styles use abbreviated date formats. By default, Misplaced Pages does not abbreviate dates", so what was wrong?

I am sure I am missing something. It is a wonderful world (talk) 19:47, 30 October 2024 (UTC)

Nothing wrong with it per se, it's just automatically updated via the script, to standardise. GiantSnowman 19:49, 30 October 2024 (UTC)

Archiving talk page

Hi,

My talk page is quite long now and I have no idea how to archive it. Is there a guide on here? Would appreciate if you could maybe spare a minute to do for me?

Thanks Telfordbuck (talk) 23:34, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

Joe Adams nationality

Hello, in regards to the flag for Joe Adams with the football he is indeed from Guernsey however the flag of England is the correct flag to use. The reason being it's based on FIFA eligibility rules. As Guernsey and the other Crown Dependencies are not a member of FIFA in their own right the flag of England is the correct as they are part of the English FA. No, we use the Guernsey/Jersey flag where appropriate. GiantSnowman 13:09, 3 November 2024 (UTC)

It's been discussed before at Guernsey_F.C.#FIFA_Nationality but if you want to reopen the discussion feel free. C. 22468 Talk to me 13:16, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
