"The avalanche was down,
the hillside swept bare behind it;
the last echoes died on the white slopes;
the new mount glittered and lay still in the silent valley."

Jagadguru adi Shankaracharya cast

What is it about the caste of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya that you do not accept any scriptures before 1947 as evidence. All the Puranas of India were written before the emperor's rule and many of them have been accepted by Misplaced Pages as evidence. Then why is Alfred Edward Robert's book Vishwakarma and his decadence written in 1904 hesitant to accept as evidence. All the books written in the modern era are meant to protect the systematic interests of the writers themselves. How can these become history. Misplaced Pages should not support such distorted histories. Most of the histories of India have been honestly written by the British who ruled India. A brother with the belief that Misplaced Pages will rewrite Adi Shankar's caste. 2409:4073:114:CAD4:EE0B:E647:C8D0:DCA2 (talk) 14:52, 13 November 2024 (UTC)

Visvakarma and His Descendents, 1909 ... A pamflet, not a serious scholarly, and outdated. And why would Shankara's caste be relevant anyway? Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 15:06, 13 November 2024 (UTC)

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:28, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

November 2024

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Maurya Empire. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Nxcrypto Message 05:25, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

@NXcrypto: I'm fully aware of Wiki-policies. I'm also aware of the core Wiki-aim: to enlighten her readers, instead of perpetuating cliches and dogmas. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 05:28, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

Maurya Map and My Map

So basically, one of your sources for the hole map "Archaeology of South Asia", that book doesn't contain any maps with holes but rather a map without holes.

As respecting copyright rules of wiki, I did not directly upload the map here, but rather recreated it.

Here it is

Mauryan Empire Map
JingJongPascal (talk) 15:09, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
@JingJongPascal: Smith explains the network-model, and illustrates it with several maps. Conningham and Young follow her approach. Good to see that you check sources. regards, Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 17:02, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
And the map you've created is given by her as an example of this (mistaken) idea of "uniform territorial control." Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 19:51, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
She mentions it for several empires, but does not mention any places where was autonomous, you have decided these regions either by yourself or by Kulke. Hence they shouldn't be even used as a source JingJongPascal (talk) 05:38, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
I am currently deciding to stop arguments and maintain status quo. As we have more things to article to fix, especially economy JingJongPascal (talk) 05:39, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
@JingJongPascal: status quo is what it will be; it's a deadlock. Regards, Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 06:37, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
would be quite off topic, but why doesnt this apply to Macedonian Empire or Persian Empire. Many regions in their kingdom were also unhabitatle.
BritishEmpire's Australia was mostly just empty JingJongPascal (talk) 07:20, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

Strawberries and tea... I noticed your stance on the origins of Hinduism; that was uplifting. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 06:38, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
