Welcome!

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Misplaced Pages, Lpi-english! I am Michael93555 and have been editing Misplaced Pages for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Misplaced Pages! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Language Proficiency Index

I have reverted a significant amount of text you added to the subject article because it was unsourced and extremely biased in favor of those who administer the test. Please do not add such information without citations from reliable secondary sources. If you would like to discuss this further, please see Talk:Language Proficiency Index. April 2009

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. The recent edit you made to the page Language Proficiency Index has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Misplaced Pages, as you did with this edit to the page Language Proficiency Index. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Pyrrhus16 14:35, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Language Proficiency Index. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Pyrrhus16 14:36, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Language Proficiency Index. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. You have been reported at WP:AN3 KuyaBriBri 14:37, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Response to your IP sock request on my talk page

Go ahead and report me for vandalism. The proper forum is WP:AIV. KuyaBriBri 14:55, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

If you like, you may also bring this up at WP:ANI. KuyaBriBri 14:55, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 15:49, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours in accordance with Misplaced Pages's blocking policy for violation of the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. I saw your notice on WP:ANI and reviewed your contributions. Your edit-warring on this article is disruptive and not acceptable. At Misplaced Pages, we make decisions by consensus. If you know that other users disagree with you, then you discuss the disagreement and come to an agreement on the best version of an article on the talk page, rather than repeatedly reverting other users. In addition, the content you were edit-warring over was pure vandalism, nothing but an anti-Misplaced Pages statement that was unrelated to the article's subject. I looked back a bit further, and found that you had originally been trying to add a large chunk of content which had some useful information in it but also a lot of personal opinions, and which seemed more like an essay than a fact-based article. Misplaced Pages requires neutrality, so we can't publish individual opinions.

My suggestion is that, when your block expires, you do not make further changes to the article, but instead use the talk page to discuss with other users what facts you think are important to include. I also suggest, as you are a new user, that you spend some time during your block carefully reading the links in your welcome message, so you can better follow the rules when you return to editing. Thank you. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:31, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
