National Cybercrime Reporting Portal is online reporting portal set up by Government of India to help victims of Cyber crime and Cyber fraud.

National Cybercrime Reporting Portal is an online platform set up by Government of India to guide cyber crime and cyber fraud victims to report their issues.

Steps

While reporting on National Cybercrime Reporting Portal,following steps are to be followed

  • In home page,check for "file a complaint option" and continue after reviewing and agreeing to terms and conditions.
  • Choose the option "Report Other Cyber Crime" and continue to enter personal information after selecting "Citizen Login".
  • Authenticate the identity by inputing the One Time Password sent to registered mobile number.
  • Finally Submit after inputting the Capcha.

Steps to protects from Cybercrime

The following steps are recommended to protect from cybercrime

  • Enabling aunthentification with two factor.
  • Exercising safety in Public Wifi.
  • Occassional updates on softwares.
  • Securing social media accounts.
  • Regular back up of data.
