Chad Chronister (born February 2, 1964) is an American law enforcement officer and serves as the sheriff of Hillsborough County, Florida since 2017. He has been nominated for Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration by Donald Trump.

Early life and education

He graduated from Saint Leo University receiving his Bachelor's in criminal justice & Master's in criminology. Later, he graduated from the 260th session of the FBI National Academy.

Career

He has served sine 1992 in the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. He started as a patrol deputy and SWAT operator. He then served in several detective roles, including Environmental Enforcement, Warrants Unit, Narcotics, & Intelligence Section. He was a supervisor in the Warrants, Narcotics, Intelligence, & Dignitary Protection Detail. Personal Life
