The next presidential elections in Syria are expected to take place before March 1, 2025, since Mohammed al-Bashir's transitional government will remain in effect until March 1, 2025. This will be the first presidential election since the fall of the Ba'athist regime. However, earlier the opposition leader Hadi al-Bahra said the transition period should last about 18 months. Currently, the de facto leader of the Syrian state is Abu Mohammad al-Julani

Abu Mohammad al-Julani — Emir of Tahrir al-Sham, De facto leader of the Syrian Salvation Government and De facto leader of Syria (Syrian transitional government) since the 8 December 2024

Hadi al-Bahra — President of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces and President of the Syrian Interim Government.

Abdurrahman Mustafa — Prime Minister of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces and Prime Minister of the Syrian Interim Government.

Salem Turki al-Antri - Leader of the Revolutionary Commando Army.

Ahmad al-Awda - Leader of the Southern Operational Room

Bashar al-Zoubi - Leader of the Southern Front (Syrian rebel group).
