Philip Zecher (born November 22, 1967) is an American investment professional and nuclear physicist. He serves as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Michigan State University (MSU), managing the university's endowment. Zecher earned a Bachelor of Science in physics from Ohio University and completed a PhD in nuclear physics at Michigan State University in 1996.

Early career

Zecher worked at Deloitte Consulting in New York, focusing on financial risk measurement technologies.

In 1999, he co-founded Investor Analytics, a company that provided risk advisory services for hedge funds and institutional investors, utilizing software-as-a-service technology.
