In 2024, David Poreba played midfielder for Chicago Fire FC II of the MLS NEXT Pro league. He started every game for CFFCII (28), logging 2,509 minutes during the regular season. At age of 21, he earned the coveted MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot award for his 18 goals during the 2024 with the club, which led the league. Additionally, Poreba, who was named the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro MVP, after a record-setting campaign, became the first Chicago Fire FC II player to sign an MLS contract with the First Team.
