Setting and characters

Set hundreds of years in the future, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet follows Jordan A. Mun (portrayed by Tati Gabrielle), a bounty hunter stranded on the remote planet Sempiria. For over 600 years, the planet has been cut off from all outside contact and no one has been able to leave its orbit. Jordan seeks to escape. Kumail Nanjiani portrays one of Jordan's targets.

Development

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is in development by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 5. Development began in 2020, after the release of The Last of Us Part II. The game is directed by Neil Druckmann, and the score is composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Sony Interactive Entertainment trademarked the title in February 2024, and Naughty Dog revealed the game at the Game Awards on December 12, 2024.
