On 10 October 2024, Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG) announced that it had selected "Dobrodošli" performed by Nina Žižić as one of the songs to compete in Montesong 2024, the national final that it would organise to select its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. On 27 November 2024, the song won first place among the judges and fourth place among the audience in the competition, placing it in second place overall, one point behind the winning song "Clickbait", performed by the band Neonoen. However, on 4 December 2024, Neonoen withdrew from Eurovision due to having previously performed their entry in 2023, a violation of the rules of the international contest. On 8 December, RTCG announced that the song placed second in Montesong 2024, "Dobrodošli" would represent Montenegro at Eurovision performed by Nina Žižić.
