It will be the first time World Kabaddi has hosted its World Cup tournament outside of Asia (out of four times total since the tournament series began in 2019). There will be a men's and women's edition of the event.
History
A 2020 edition of the Kabaddi World Cup was scheduled, but then was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All of the previous three editions of the World Cup have taken place in India.
