Governor of Albay

Incumbent Edcel Greco Lagman (Partido Federal ng Pilipinas) was initially running for a first full term. However, Lagman withdrew his candidacy on December 5, 2024, and endorsed his predecessor, Noel Rosal (Partido Demokratiko Pilipino), for governor.

Lagman became governor under Aksyon Demokratiko on December 1, 2022, after Rosal's election as governor in 2022 was nullified by the Commission on Elections for violating a public spending ban during the election. On October 18, 2024, the Office of the Ombudsman suspended Lagman over graft and corruption charges. Glenda Bongao (Liberal Party) became acting governor.
