Dita Řepková (born 1975) is a Czech judge. She was appointed as a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic by president Petr Pavel in December 2024.
Education
Řepková had graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University, where she received a Master's degree in 2000 and Juris Doctor two years later. She has also graduated the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague where she had doctoral studies in law. In 2021 Řepková successfully completed the defense of her dissertation on the topic of protective treatment and preventive detention.
Career
Řepková began her career in 2002 as an assistant to Judge Eliška Wagnerová of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic. She succefully passed her bar exams In 2006 and in 2008 Řepková was appointed as judge at the Brno Municipal Court. In 2019 Řepková reached the Brno Regional Court where she focused on criminal law. At the same time she gain experience in international legal environment. She completed internships in the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands and in 2023 at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
Constitutional judge
On 3 October 2024, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, introduced her to the Senate of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic for the position of judge of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic. On 20 November 2024, the Senate agreed with the President's proposal to appoint her as a judge of the Constitutional Court (the nomination was supported in a secret ballot by 71 out of 77 senators) and on 12 December 2024, President Pavel appointed her. Řepková filled the vacancy left by Judge David Uhlíř, whose ten-year term of office ended two days earlier.
