Miyu Takahashi (高橋 美優, Takahashi Miyū, born 15 May 2002) is a Japanese badminton player from Inami, Hyōgo Prefecture. She graduated from the Aomori Yamada High School, and joined BIPROGY badminton team on 1 April 2021.
Career
2022
Takahashi partnered with Chisato Hoshi in women's doubles, winning all three tournaments they entered: India International Challenge I, India International Challenge II, and Maldives International.
2024
In September, Takahashi and Otake participated in the 2024 Taipei Open and reached their first quarterfinal at this level of the tournament. In the first round, they defeated fifth seeds Sung Shuo-yun and Yu Chien-hui of Chinese Taipei in straight games. In the next round, they defeated the Indonesian pair of Lanny Tria Mayasari and Rachel Allessya Rose. In the quarterfinals, they lost to second-seeded Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi of Indonesia in a three-game match that lasted 72 minutes.
Takahashi and Otake reached the finals of two Super 100 tournaments. They were runners-up in the 2024 Indonesia Masters Super 100 I, losing to the Indonesian pair Jesita Putri Miantoro and Febi Setianingrum in the final. They then won the 2024 Vietnam Open, defeating the Thai pair Tidapron Kleebyeesun and Nattamon Laisuan in the final for their first BWF World Tour title.
