Dubai chocolate is the name of a chocolate bar with filling made of mixed kadayif and pistachio. It became popular in the second half of 2024, after featuring in numerous social media videos by influencers from around the world. Fix Dessert Chocolatier, from the Emirati city of Dubai, claims to have invented what is now called worldwide “Dubai Chocolate”.

History

Dubai chocolate become famous around the world in the second half of 2024, after being advertised by social media influencers. The complex production and increasing demand caused high prices. This has led to legal disputes over trademark rights and geographical indication in some countries.

Sarah Hamouda, who founded the company Fix Dessert Chocolatiers in the Emirate of Dubai in 2021, claims to be the inventor of the “Dubai chocolate” with pistachio and kadaif.
