In 2008 he released ''The Dark Knight'' EP – ''Return To Hip-Hop’s Golden Era'' to much fanfare. The EP featured original recordings Bruse made during the early and mid 1990s. It featured just one song recorded in the 2000's (”That Ain’t Hip-Hop" featuring Rapper Fam-Illy). Two music videos were produced to promote the EP (“Dun Da Lye"and "That Ain’t Hip-Hop”). Bruse followed it up with his highly regarded 2016 album, ''The Earl Manigault Of Rap'' (released November 23, 2015). On the album he collaborated with Chris Rivers the son of renowned Big Pun, as well as hip-hop legend Sean Price on the song "Venom" (who recorded his final verse for the project before passing away in 2015). “Brighter Days,” the first single off the project is a culmination of many years of hard work and dedication. | |||
