As I said in talk, I withdraw and close out my prior edit request, as a reliable news source (Dallas Morning News) was found to address Granger's absence. However, the broader context and public backlash and public debate was not addressed; therefore, I respectfully request the following edit be added, if it is not objectionable to the concensus of other editors: | |||
As reported by both American and foreign news media, this incident has sparked a public backlash against elderly politicians of both political parties being allowed to serve in spite of advanced age and medical issues.<ref name=":n106">{{Cite web|url=https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14219429/backlash-missing-GOP-lawmaker-kay-granger-dementia-care-facility.html|title=Public backlash after missing GOP congresswoman Kay Granger is found in dementia care facility|date=December 22, 2024|website=The Daily Mail|language=en|access-date=December 23, 2024}}</ref> <ref name=":n107">{{Cite web|url=https://www.newsweek.com/kay-granger-report-missing-dementia-facility-sparks-backlash-2004797|title=Report of 'Missing' GOP Congresswoman in Senior Facility Sparks Backlash|date=December 22, 2024|website=Newsweek|language=en|access-date=December 23, 2024}}</ref> ] (]) 12:20, 23 December 2024 (UTC) ] (]) 12:43, 23 December 2024 (UTC) |

Hey there. Am wondering if you could help take a look at this case. Said IP address has persisted with disruptive behaviour and personal attacks, and I feel it best to seek help on this. Thank you! hundenvonPG (talk) 07:42, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- Nah, sorry. I don't hang out at ANI, HundenvonPenang. Schwede66 07:44, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Sams Creek (New Zealand)
On 18 December 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sams Creek (New Zealand), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the area around Sams Creek was excluded from Kahurangi National Park when it was formed in 1996 due to gold-mining interests? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sams Creek (New Zealand). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Sams Creek (New Zealand)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Re my PER/autopatrolled request
I had used an alt account that was appropriately blocked. but i had a list of articles that I had created here https://xtools.wmcloud.org/pages/en.wikipedia.org/Ebbedlila Crafterstar (talk) 01:04, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Wrong place to post about it. Don't start a separate discussion here, Crafterstar; this belongs onto the autopatrolled page. Schwede66 01:15, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
Help with page protection; possible edit war
Hey there, I wanted to bring to admin attention that there appears to be some kind of edit war going on at the BLP Kay Granger over wether certain information is reliable or not with multiple IPs involved. I think the page could benefit from temporary semi-protection while the content dispute is worked out on the talk page. I already requested it but there is a backlog and the edits are coming in very quickly, so it would be good if you can look into protecting the page. Thanks! -- Lenny Marks (talk) 18:39, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
Happy Christmas
Hello Schwede66: Enjoy the holiday season and winter solstice if it's occurring in your area of the world, and thanks for your work to maintain, improve and expand Misplaced Pages. Cheers, ―Panamitsu (talk) 22:56, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
Spread the WikiLove; use {{subst:Season's Greetings}} to send this message- Thanks, same to you, Panamitsu. Maybe we should design a Southern Hemisphere version of this, given that it's not exactly winter. Schwede66 23:06, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- I've bodged together a New Zealand version. Feel free to improve. The amount of whitespace on this one is not ideal.
- Ha, that's lovely, Panamitsu. It hits the mark. Schwede66 03:12, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your addition of the beach; it looks much better now. I've removed the captions and the white background. ―Panamitsu (talk) 05:25, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
