== More content farms probably generated using LLM AI being cited and linked ==

I undid an to the article about ]. I think you may need to know a bit more detail about why. The website linked, https://www.botanikks.com/, appears to be generated using LLM AI. Notice how on the page about the binomial is repeated over and over with "M. S. Brown" appended after it. That's not a very human mistake to make. Other pages on the site have similar oddness such as their page on that is full of vague platitudes. It also says, "Another disease that can impact Sequoia sempervirens is Sudden Oak Death. This is a devastating disease that can cause the entire tree to die within a few years." While '']'' does infect the species it does not kill trees directly. That's exactly the sort of subtle mistake of fact that is most dangerous for Misplaced Pages's mission. A couple of editors have started to notice sites like this being cited, especially by new editors. I noticed botanikks when doing one of my periodic sweeps for citations of the similar site put up by ].<br>There is nothing you need to do about this right now, but I think it important to let my fellow editors know about how this problem is starting to crop up on Misplaced Pages and to be more cautious about linking to or citing commercial websites without a reputation for good editorial oversight. ] (]) 16:41, 5 December 2024 (UTC)

:Yeah, I saw. I was a bit curious but when I looked at the site in more detail, yeah, it did seem kind of sketch. Thanks for the detailed explanation. ] ] 16:45, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
::PS, should this be listed on ] for future reference? ] ] 16:47, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
:::I do think that listing it would be a good idea. I've not gotten around to it. We are going to have to figure out a new way of dealing with this sort of semi-intentional spaming by misleading good faith editors. ] (]) 19:28, 5 December 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Louis Abramson

On 20 December 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Louis Abramson, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Louis Abramson worked on the renovation of a building that he designed 57 years earlier? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Louis Abramson.
