Powerscourt National School is an historic schoolhouse that is still in use today and is the longest continously run school of its kind in the world. The building which was built in 1818 and had a 200th anniversary celebration in 2018 with doves released. Sadie Honner is principal. Footage of anguished screaming from the school has gone viral around the world.
