The rally did not receive significant coverage, except in the context of the attack, and there were counter rallies that received similar levels of coverage. There were also gatherings and memorials in honor of the victims, which, similarly received coverage in the context of the attack's aftermath. Instead of having separate articles for each of these gatherings/protests, I would be in favor of merging this article and information about other memorials, counter rallies, and gatherings that followed the attack into ]

Beginning on 23 December 2024, following an attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg on 22 December, protests began in Germany calling for the mass deportation of immigrants. The protests are actively supported by the AfD.
