This draft may meet Misplaced Pages's criteria for speedy deletion because in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. See CSD G11.%5B%5BWP%3ACSD%23G11%7CG11%5D%5D%3A+Unambiguous+%5B%5BWP%3ANOTADVERTISING%7Cadvertising%5D%5D+or+promotionG11

2022 Parliament Run
Makokha Mukoya leveraging his eligibility to contest as a duly registered citizen of the Republic of Kenya contested to become Member of National Assembly (MNA) of Lurambi Constituency in Kakamega County in the August 2022 Elections. He initially threw his hat into the ring as a life Member of the (ODM) Party where he had been a member since November 2012. However, following the event dubbed 'Earthquake' occasioned by the political movements of Former Kenyan Vice President, Hon. Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi in February 2022, which resulted in then incumbent MNA, Hon. Mukhwana Titus Khamala formerly of Mudavadi's Amani National Congress (ANC) decamping to the ODM Party and eventually get bestowed with a direct ticket, Makokha was left ruthlessly exposed. A spanner had definitely been thrown into his plans. He took the bold step to go into the race as an Independent Candidate albeit with strong affiliations to the Azimio La Umoja - One Kenya Alliance coalition then led by former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya, Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga. Mukoya ran as a social democrat who strongly believes in reform. His slogan in the race was "Utumishi na Mabadiliko" (Servant & Transformative Leadership). As a rookie candidate, he put forth a spirited campaign but ultimately lost to the incumbent and ODM party Candidate, Hon. Mukhwana Titus Khamala.
