Italian journalistCecilia Sala (born 1995) is an Italian journalist. She was working in Tehran for Il Foglio and the podcast company Chora Media, while being in Iran on journalist visa. On 19 December 2024 she was arrested and put in solitary confinement in Evin Prison. This became known only on 27 December.
Sala was born on 25 July 1995 in Rome.
Previously, Sala wrote for L'Espresso and Vanity Fair. She worked for RAI and Fremantle Media.
