The Conquest of Chen by Sui or Sui-Turkic War (Chinese: 白道之战) was a conflict beetwen Turkic and Chinese forces of Sui dynasty
in April of the third year of Emperor Wen of Sui (583), during the war between the Sui army and the Turkic Khanate, Yang Jun, the Prince of Wei of the Sui Dynasty, led his army to defeat the army of Shaboluo Khan in the Baidao area (now northwest of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia).
On April 12, the Sui army encountered the army of Shaboluo in Baidao.
Li Chong suggested that he would take advantage of Shaboluo's many victories to underestimate us and attack us with troops, and we would definitely win. Many generals had doubts, but Li Che agreed.
Jun then adopted Li Chong's suggestion and led Li Chong and Li Che with 5,000 cavalry men to attack unexpectedly and defeat Shabolue's army, capturing more than a thousand people. Shabolue threw away his golden armor and hid in the bushes to escape. At that time, the Turkic army was short of food and had to eat bone meal as food. In addition, there was an epidemic, and many people died.
