Senta, or Zenta in Hungarian is a town on the banks of the town in the North Banat District district of Vojvodina, Serbia. Zenta also forms a municipality joining the town with 4 other communities in the area. The municipality has a population of 25568 of which the Hungarian community forms an absolute majority of 20587 (80.5%). (Census 2002).
