Senta, or Zenta in Hungarian is a town on the bank of the Tisa river in the North Banat District district of Vojvodina, Serbia. Zenta also forms a municipality joining the town with 4 other local communities in the area. These are Felsőhelgy/Gornji Breg, Bogaras/Bogaraš, Tornyos/Tornjoš and Kevi/Kevi. All have Hungarian majorities.
The municipality has a population of 25,568 of which the Hungarian community forms an absolute majority of 20,587 (80.5%). (Census 2002). The mayor of the municipality is Attila Juhász.
