Hi, I noticed you reverted (and warned) anon user 76.97.5.111 about a change he recently made to an article. This user has also been vandalising my Talk page, by re-inserting a bogus warning from a banned sockpuppet which I ad removed. I suspect this user is the same as 68.219.149.22, since that user did the same to my page a while ago. anon user 76.97.5.111 has already been blocked before for vandalism, I was hoping you could block him again. ] 03:57, 7 May 2007 (UTC) Hi, I noticed you reverted (and warned) anon user 76.97.5.111 about a change he recently made to an article. Thanks!

Thanks again for reverting vandalism on my user page. I really appreciate it! Hope to see you around. Chickyfuzz14 05:58, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Question

ER, I was wondering if Joseph V. Medina would be a good candidate for featured bio in the portal, since he was the first United States Marine Corps officer, in history to take command of a Naval flotilla. What do you think? Tony the Marine 21:20, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Protection

Hi. From the protection policy:

Indefinite semi-protection may be used for: ... User pages (but not user talk pages), when requested by the user.

Emphasis mine. Your user talk page appears to have been protected since September 2006 – that seems pretty permanent to me – and the level of vandalism prior to that was nowhere near the level usually warranted for semi-protection of a page (a single user vandalizing from a single IP range). Before that one incident I don't see any anonymous edits at all for over a month. Certainly far, far less than what some of us mere mortals without the ability to protect our own talk pages at will have to deal with. Is there a good reason to keep this page protected? – Gurch 19:14, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Another Clay Aiken image issue

I added background info into the article. I see you updated the image description. Is there any fair use rational that you know of that I can look at for reference? - Maria202 14:02, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I'll see what I can do about getting another cc image as I'm really not up to arguing with another editor about using this photo. I did some reading on the subject yesterday and I do understand their concerns so it's probably not worth trying to fight for this particular photo as it seems what was okay a few years ago is not okay any longer. - Maria202 13:02, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Strike Force Three

I've made some changes. Take a look and feel free to rephrase me since I am not at my best prose wise (I have so many things going on my mind). Tony the Marine 19:13, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Joseph V. Medina

Got rid of the redlinks in Medina's article. I agree with you, I'll look into doing an article about the whole ESG concept. In regard to the List of Hispanics, They better do something about it because as it is, it will become one hell of an disorganized and unmanageable list. Tony the Marine 20:46, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Fighting Time 20: Despre Tine Cast

Hello. I recently put a speedy deletion tag on this article, which was later removed by the creator of the article. I wanted to make sure before I put the tag back on that this page actually qualifies for speedy deletion. Thanks and hope you can help. Chickyfuzz14 21:29, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot. That helps, and I appreciate it much! =D Chickyfuzz14 21:53, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Newbie question

ER, I'm a newbie to wikipedia but my mother right now is telling me that John Edwards(the info i added) is right. What do u mean aboutdiscussing it/citing it? Where do i do that? I'm so confused. I thought u just click edit and just change whatever you want until somone disagrees with u, then they can change it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Woshinideba (talkcontribs) 00:07, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Problem with anon user

Hi, I noticed you reverted (and warned) anon user 76.97.5.111 about a change he recently made to an article. This user has also been vandalising my Talk page, by re-inserting a bogus warning from a banned sockpuppet which I ad removed. I suspect this user is the same as 68.219.149.22, since that user did the same to my page a while ago. anon user 76.97.5.111 has already been blocked before for vandalism, I was hoping you could block him again. Thank You All

It is kind of funny because it really isn't my birthday. It was on March 9, but thank you all for your kind words and support.

As you all know, some hacker cracked my password and I have been stripped of my admin powers. I can understand an admin. being blocked, but stripped of his powers without a fair hearing or consensus, I can't. I have stated that I changed my password and would like my powers back, however the chastizing going on in ] has sadden me. It doesn't matter how many articles you have written, contributions you have made or how many years you have dedicated to making this project a credible one. A hacker, it seems has the power of making people consider you an untrustful person and turning some people in the community against you.

I have never abused of my powers and I have used Misplaced Pages as a medium to educate others. Yes, I have no regrets about having made so many contributions to the Pedia. I exhort all of my friends here to make sure that their passwords are strong ones so that you will not have to go through what I am going through.

I did promise some of my friend a couple of articles and as a good Marine I will keep my promise. To my friends here, Thank you for your friendship. Tony the Marine 23:36, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: Please, Dont edit Westbrook Intermediate School

hey. Please do not edit Westbrook Intermediate School anymore. The only editors are people who go there, and last time I checked, you do not sound like someone who goes to this school. So, this time, I am asking nicely, please dont edit the site anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cdguy06 (talkcontribs) 02:58, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok.I started the site to let our school be known. At first, it was a joke, but now I am serious about it. I am trying to get the bloggers to stop, but for them to stop as soon as possible, I need to get them to stop on my own. So, if you please, let me edit it and get rid of the fake stuff, otherwise, they will not stop. I can get them to quit the dumb info. Please cut back on the editing of the site. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cdguy06 (talkcontribs) 03:07, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

  • The new user must be aware that no one owns the articles in Misplaced Pages and therefore material deemed as nonsense or POV will be removed by any editor. If the addition of non-notable as in the section of "famous students" and such continue, I suggest that proper steps be taken, such as a semi-protect. Tony the Marine 04:10, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
    • Thanks Tony. I have left messages for this editor and the others editing the article about ownership, veriability, and npov. Seems that the editing has slowed down — either they've taken the information to heart and are chosing to comply with Misplaced Pages policy or it is late in Texas and they've stopped editing for the night. I hope it is the former. If you note that a rash of such edits starts up again, please do take the step to semi-protect the page as necessary. — ERcheck (talk) 04:17, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: March 2007 Edits

Actually they were not test edits. Congratulations for foolishly reverting them and removing my contributions, which would have been of use to others. 86.3.80.223 17:32, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok, let's call them vandalism. — ERcheck (talk) 00:07, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
